El proyecto es una video-instalación que muestra el trabajo de un cantero y, paralelamente, una reconstrucción arqueológica virtual (mediante la técnica de la fotogrametría) de las formas y materiales de la iglesia y la piedra (Sillar). Creando un paralelismo entre dos materiales histórica y culturalmente relacionados. Entre la piedra y la tecnología, entre el trabajo manual y el digital, entre lo abierto y lo cerrado, entre lo pagano y lo sagrado, y también entre dos tipos de ser ante lo mítico o lo imaginario. Revolviendo sutilmente el polvo histórico de la herencia colonial.
The project is a video-installation that shows the work of a cantero (person who works the stone) and, in parallel, a virtual archaeological reconstruction (using the technique of photogrammetry) of the forms and materials of the church and the stone (Sillar). Creating a parallel between two materials that are historically and culturally related. Between stone and technology, between manual work and digital work, between the open and the closed, between the pagan and the sacred, and also between two types of being before the mythical or the imaginary. Subtly stirring up the historical dust of the colonial heritage.
